The Japanese architect Toyo Ito was inspired by the harbour front location of the development, he based his iconic design on a "surfing" theme. Coniroof M800 was selected among acrylic coatings and PVC membrane system due to speed and ease of installation as well as seamless.



The challenge:
• Erratic rains cause surface to be wet
• Bringing the big Reaku spray machine onto the free-form surf roof
• Damage by lightning conductor installers
• Drip marks at vertical sides of roof
• Keeping building cool
• Shrinkage cracks appearing on topping screed
• Interfacing between surf roof and feature walls

The solution:
CONIROOF M800 is a crack-bridging roof waterproofing system with excellent mechanical properties. Application is by special spray machine and the system has been tested in accordance with the BBA specification for liquid applied roof waterproofing systems.
