BASF showcases innovative building and construction solutions at Conbuild Vietnam 2009 

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – November 26, 2009 – BASF will showcase its innovative solutions at Conbuild Vietnam 2009 from  December 1 – 4 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City. 

These construction solutions are now in use at Vietnam locations including the Saigon M&C Tower in Ho Chi Minh City, the Dung Quat Refinery in Quang Ngai province, and the PTSC Phu My Port in Ba Ria Vung Tau province.

BASF’s solutions to be displayed at its booth include:
- Concrete admixtures powered by sureTEC (Super Retention Technology), which are able to increase the construction efficiency and durability.
- A wide range of flooring products, spanning from Mastertop cementitious flooring, Mastertop epoxy flooring to Ucrete polyurethane flooring, all with high resistance to chemicals, impact and abrasion. 
- Coniroof waterproofing, a liquid applied polyurethane waterproofing membrane system, providing an attractive, UV and weather resistant finish, which is easy to clean and maintain.

BASF’s state-of-the-art admixture technology is being used in the on-going construction of POSCO Cold Rolling Mill at Ba Ria in Vung Tau province. The application of BASF GleniumÒ, incorporating the novel sureTEC concept, has made it possible to drive piles in just four days instead of typical seven days with the use of traditional solutions.  High water reduction, exceptionally long slump retention and improved compressive strength are all made possible with the use of GleniumÒ ACE 388 sureTEC.

A success was recently registered with the production of concrete with compressive strength exceeding 90MPa for the core of bored piles.  In this case, the combination of BASF Glenium ACE 388 sureTEC with BASF GleniumÒ 109 sureTEC was applied to a super strength base at Saigon M&C Tower in District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.
