Rheobuild 895
RHEOBUILD 895 is a chloride free, high range water
reducing admixture. It is based on selected water soluble
sulphonated polymers of different molecular weights,
each of which acts optimally on the various constituents of
Portland cement. It is also effective on blended cements
based on Portland cement and other materials such as
pozzolans, fly ash, and slags.
The use of RHEOBUILD 895 helps in the production of
rheoplastic concrete with very low water/cement ratios.
A rheoplastic concrete is a fluid concrete with a slump
value of at least 20 mm or higher, that flows easily but at
the same time is free from segregation, and has the same
water/cement ratio as that of a no-slump concrete without
additive.
RHEOBUILD 895 is compatible with both water reducers
and air entraining agents approved under ASTM
specifications but it should be dispensed separately into
the concrete mix. It should only be used with water
reducer after specific testing at the proposed dose rates,
as certain combinations of dosages can result in extended
retardation.
RHEOBUILD 895 meets the requirements of ASTM C494
for Types A and F admixtures and SS320.
